I am extremely proud to be Principal of St. Patrick's & St. Brigid's College and am delighted you are considering our college for your child(ren). Our strong family ethos ensures that each child is treated as an individual, is cared for, and nurtured as they grow into young adults. Sometimes this means we have to exercise ‘tough love’, to guide pupils in the right direction. Pupils’ wellbeing and success is our number one priority. When you join our college, you join our ‘Family’ and families stick together and support each other.
We are committed to achievement and the college's excellent work is reflected in the quality of teaching and learning, attendance and punctuality, behaviour, attainment and achievement. We live our Christian vision and values, are committed to inclusion and ensuring that all pupils achieve their God-given potential.
As well as securing academic success, it is equally important to us to help pupils become exceptionally grounded and well rounded young men and women, of whom we can all be proud. We place a lot of emphasis on developing the essential character traits so that our pupils can take a leadership role in their Parish and wider community.
We are proud to be the local school of choice for our community, offering a strong educational experience for every pupil who attends; and we very much look forward to welcoming you and your children into our family.
We hold one large annual Open Evening at St. Patrick's & St. Brigid's College each January.
The evening involves a presentation by current pupils, the Principal, the opportunity to talk with academic and senior staff through open classrooms that include displays of work, taster activities and pupils on hand to answer your questions.
If would are unable to attend the Open Evening then there will be designated weeks when you can arrange a visit via contacting the school directly.
